Yeah. Croquet sounds good. I was looking at sets at Canadian Tire last week but Colin wouldn't let me buy one (not sure why but I think it had to do with the kids hitting each other over the head with the mallets). Looked at horse shoes too.
How about Croquet?
That's a nice calm, sneaky sport!
Goes well with refreshing adult beverages, too!
Unless we invite Donna Andrews- she plays full contact-croquet.
Good plan. Nice of you to contribute to these poor children. I am sure they appreciate it. (okay, so I am being sarcastic). Hope you are all well and good etc, yourself.
I am almost used to being home and cool, dry, and bug free again! Only took two ciders and a bottle of good red wine (well they *said* it was good but frankly I was less than impressed) and a good night's sleep. I may never go outside again.
Sorry, I have spent the day making my semi annual contribution to all the needy children of doctors and other medical personnel. They are fine, I am broke, and lets make tonight an open bar night, okay?
Yes please!
How about something summery?
Pimms or a Long Island Iced Tea? Or a Vermoth Cassis?
Nothing rude, thankyou.
Sadly, my library does not have either The Wheelman or Secret Dead Men.
I found similarities to Hiassen with a soupcon of Westlake. Can't wait to get my grubby little paws on the first two.
Hey Jack!
Have you read The Blonde, by Duane S. yet?(Nothing you could say will make me attempt to spell his sir name)
I was amazed. It wasn't a book, it was an extravaganza.
I added a couple of things - a wine cooler and the G&T stuff and found a nice chocolate fountain. Would have been too cool to find an applet that had the fountain actually working but java can be a pain on some machines so better to go with ordinary I guess. Although some .gif formats can do motion......
She's amazing, isn't she?
The only caveat I put on the MC drink is that it isn't green.
ick.
Totaly OT, run (don't walk) to your video store and get Paul MacCartney in Red Square.
From his 2003 visit, it was not only an excellent concert, but a documentary about the effect the Beatles had on the fall of communism. Edited devinely and lots of extras, too.
I remember the first web page I did -- took me days to get one page figured out and then things did not show up right. That was in '99 I think, or maybe 2000. Now it takes no time but I am not up to date on stuff so it is really pretty basic. Still fun and since I don't have a boss I don't have to worry about staying current. Glad you like it. Let me know if you have any additions.

Can you tell I am adjusting nicely to the comforts of home? Tomorrow it is the Big City for a couple of hours. That should be interesting enough.
Rest and regroup this weekend, Jack.

In other words - I am Ba-ack!
