Well, the winters usually are milder than the last one. It always snows, but there's so much sunshine it melts the next day. The weather is due to the altitude, which is about the same as Denver---a mile high. We try to keep the climate a secret.
Hi Deb,
As to the landscape, I think it was one of New Mexico Territory's early governors who wrote to the federal government requesting assistance, "Send me some men to match my mountains!" I have to admit that once in a while I do miss being close to New York and DC, not to mention the Delaware River. But New Mexico, at least Albuquerque and points north, is anything but hot. Rarely much over 90 mid summer, and some snow every winter. Last year, 4 ft of snow and twice we were snowed-in 3 days. (That's not typical.)
I went to Malice the last 2 years but not this year because I did LCC instead. I've only been doing one con a year cuz of 2 kids in college, but next year I'm doing Malice and Bcon.
Hi Deb,
I'm so pleased to meet you. I have wanted to go to the Deadly Ink conference but it never worked out. I hear it's an excellent one. I lived for several years between Philadelphia and Bethlehem, so New Jersey was next door. Certainly I've never seen a river more beautiful than the Delaware. Of course any river in New Mexico, where I live now, is regarded as a state treasure.
Hi Deb, wow! That's terrific. Many thanks and I hope you enjoy CAPABLE OF MURDER as much as I did writing it. It was intended as a one off originally but Belinda and the other characters keep at me to continue with more - so I did!
Thanks again, and enjoy.
Cheers,
Brian

(The abbreviation of your name is an acknowledgement of your own sparing use of words in youyr profile. Admirable.) Thanks for the invitation.
Thanks for the invite. Glad to be your friend.
