I'm almost a fellow Texan! My husband grew up in Beaumont and his cousin lives in Orange! We visit Texas every year. Were you in Orange for the Hurricane Rita disaster? The lovely lady whose picture I'm using was also a Texan - she was from Granbury, and even though we live in Oregon, she loved to talk about Texas.

I'm in Albuquerque now (just moved from Santa Fe), and have lived in central Texas (Austin for 8 years). I don't suppose you've lived in Alaska or Colorado or Mississippi?? I'm thrilled you're interested in Dassas. His home is Marshall's Bayou (suspiciously located near Johnsons Bayou -- pre-Rita, of course.) And I love your cover!
