Elly’s interest in archaeology comes from her husband, Andrew, who gave up his city job to retrain as an archaeologist. She lives in Brighton, on the south coast of England, with her husband and two…

Opened up my e-mail this morning to see that author/reviewer Chantal Boudreau had reviewed all four of the Maynard Soloman short stories. She loved 'em even though crime fiction humor isn't her normal cup of tea. It's proof the Ol' Badger has what it takes to reach beyond genre boundaries.

She writes:

Detective stories are…

The Prophet Motive Wins Award

My cult thriller, The Prophet Motive, was my first attempt at fiction writing; but, after having written my second novel, I went back and revised it and turned it into an ebook. It's doing fairly well based on the Amazon reviewers, and it just won a Red Adept Reviews Indie Award for Thrillers/Suspense, 2011.

Nice little interview at LitReactor with Rob Hart

Just a quick note for anyone going into tradpubbing, epubbing, or selfpubbing: An interview with Rob Hart on the LitReactor site (www.litreactor.com) is worth reading. There's a reference to whether writers are more interested in getting published than in writing well. I've always wondered about writers' motivations in general. LitReact is a pretty okay site and worth checking once in a while. Lee Lamothe

Danny Boyle is a 24 year old, part-time police officer at the Sea Haven PD. He enjoys hanging out on the beach with his friends and doesn't carry a weapon. He narrates this bizzare story.
