Chicago's Book Fair is coming next weekend... June 9 and 10. This is a wonderful book fair, not just because of all the authors, but because it's "manageable"... 3-4 blocks of books, authors, people... it's always fun. Crime fiction will be well represented by Sara Paretsky, Jeffrey Deaver, CJ Box, Sean Chercover, Marcus Sakey, Kevin Guilfoile, and yours truly. All of us have panels at different times (check www.printersrowbookfair.org for schedules.)

And be sure to stop by the booths: Big Sleep Books, Booked for Murder, and Twilight Tales will all be selling books, and there will likely be a bunch of Chicago crime writers signing at them.

libby, that sounds like such a fun event! i wish they did something like that in the twin cities.
I'll be there--mysteries in one hand, "Novelist's Boot Camp" in the other. It's gonna be a long weekend--Boot Camp at Duckcon (www.duckon.org) for the Science Fiction crowd on Friday, Printers Row on Saturday, riding route 66 on Sunday. This year at Printers Row I'll be hanging with the Twilight Tales crowd. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

see you there, Todd. Sorry you can't come down, Anne... it's a good 'un...
Ah! I'm going to have to miss it this year and I'm only 4 hours away. Grr. I'll keep it in mind for 2008 though! Thanks for the link.

This sounds like fun, wish I could be there... But I told my mother-in-law, who lives in Chicago.
Maybe next year I'll be there, I hope.
