The Melbourne Writers' festival kicks off this week with a mouthwatering program filled with discssions, talks, author signings, seminars and masterclasses - including one for potential crime writers hosted by Scottish crime author Quintin Jardine. Many sessions are devoted to crime writing and all that it embraces with some noteworthy names among the presenters. And then next week there's the uproarious (free) night when the Ned Kelly Awards for crime writing are announced.
Anyone going?
