Rap Sheet and January Magazine contributor Ali Karim just rang in from London, to say that Ariana Franklin’s Mistress of the Art of Death (Putnam U.S./Bantam UK) has won the 2007 Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award, presented annually by the British Crime Writers’ Association.

I haven't read any of the other books that were nominated, but I did win Mistress of the Art of Death. It hought it was a wonderufl book, certainly deserving of the Historical Dagger Award.
