So how many of y'all do research in "released" FBI and CIA files? I came across this one today and the blotting just cracked me up. It's begging for us to fill in the gaps with a fabulous spy story.

I wonder would that be legal if you built an entire book around such file. I know you would have to make up fictional names. But that would be cool

Good point, Charles. It could be fun though so far the FBI is just a minor player in my writing. for me, it's more interesting to have the protagonist be less predictable.

But this file was just a hoot.

A declassified government document is public property. You can do whatever you like. Myself, I'd go for parody.

Parody is good. I'll expect it in my bookstore in a few months.
