Borders allegedly planning to trash thousands of books when Waldenbooks close

What do you think? Should Borders trash the books or donate them? Think of how many libraries of schools could benefit from donated books.

I'm having a hard time getting upset about this. Maybe it's just the current context: first Teddy Kennedy's senate seat goes to a nude model teabagger, then the Supremes hand the keys to the government over to the highest corporate bidder. Anyway, don't publishers routinely pulp unsold books? Sure, Borders should probably donate them to a good cause, through which pipeline they'd immediately end up for sale on Amazon for 99 cents. But am I tweaked about it? Not so much.
