STREET KINGS was a film that originated from a James Ellroy short story (and I think he wrote the first draft of the script, but not sure; two other writers receive credit for the screenplay also).

Keanu Reeves is actually well suited for the title role, IHMO and I loved how the story unfolded -- a really good morality tale. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this -- if you're into the TV show "The Shield" you'll probably dig this.
DECEPTION --

Wherein...an accountant is introduced to a mysterious sex club known as "The List" by his lawyer friend. But in this new world, he soon becomes the prime suspect in a woman's disappearance and a multi-million dollar heist.
I confess I haven't seen this one (it came and went from the theaters lickitysplit) but curious if anyone else did -- and if so, what did you think? Good cast (Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman).
