I'm new to the site, and I'm not too sure where to post intros, so I'm giving it my best shot right here. I have been interested in crime fiction for quite some time, and most recently, I wrote a book called
Low Light about a plot to blackmail J. Edgar Hoover
(can be purchased
HERE). If you watch the HBO series,
Boardwalk Empire, my novel is similar in that it's set in Atlantic in the 1920s and features some of the same characters. The book's a page-turner about bootleggers, gamblers, gun molls, flappers, IRA gunmen, and anti-Semitic sea captains. It's a pretty exciting story - I think it would make a great movie (I already read the topic about this in the forum - but there's nothing wrong with having high hopes, right?), but right now, I just want to get it in the right hands to get the novel itself off the ground.
I'm hoping to be able to network with other authors and crime fiction fans here. I see this as a grand opportunity to share ideas, thoughts, and ultimately continue to grow together. Thanks for having me on these boards, and I look forward to chatting with you all again!
