Brian! Wow! Impressive site. I really want to read one of your books and hope I will get up enough courage...the truth is books like yours really scare me! Lol!
Which of your books is your favorite?
  • Krystal Waters

Good for you Brian! Take on the world and don't stop! Life is short so live, love and laugh.

    Warmest regards,

    Brian,

Help.....I know you know the answer....Is there a way to switch the main photo( the five dogs) with another photo that I already have on my page or do I have to get a new one from my collection of pics on my computer?
Thanks, I'm off to my stressful job soon.
    That is all,
    Kenny
  • Kenneth L. Hisel

    Brian,
Well, well.........but it says to browse and upload a picture from my computer and I just want to move one from my collection of pictures already on my site. For example on Myspace I can pick one of my 300 pictures on that site and make it my default picture and I change it once a week just to keep me happy.
Also, for another time I'm mad at John Grisham..........GGRRRRRRRRRRRR

    That is all,
    Kenny

    Keny,

Unfortunately, as far as I know, that's the only way to do it! It doesn't take too long.

    Best regards

    Hi, Brian,

It was good to heart from you. I requested your name to be added to my friends. Who could resist a fact like that?
  • Sophie Littlefield

    Thanks much, Brian - you're right, it's a great feeling :)
  • Jim Gracie

    Hi again Brian.
Thanks for adding my name to your list of friends.
  • Viansa Blake

Hey dude, I got your book, A Study in Red! I'm going to start reading it as soon as I finish my paper for English. Can't wait!
  • Margaret

The dog in the picture is Puccini. He's a Bichon Frise with lots of attitude. He's very sweet natured, as you can see by the fact that he allows himself to wear getups like these and doesn't attempt to maul me. I have several other Bichons who won't allow more than a collar, and rebel at that.

Hope soon to relieve my eyestrain my reading one of your books. I first have to kill the wolf at the door--anyone know a good recipe for wolf? Why wolves at the door? I like wolves. Anyone have a good recipe for creditors?

    Hi Brian
    Love your covers! Happy writing.
Or should I say "unhappy writing" because you like the dark stuff.
  • Josephine Damian

Awww... what a cute puppy dog. Good luck with "A STUDY IN RED."
  • L.J. Sellers

What's Jack's last name? I'll add him. We had a glorious day here today, so I actually got away from my computer for hours. It was wonderful.
  • Colin Galbraith

    Hi Brian,

Greetings from sunny Scotland. Have a good one!
  • L.J. Sellers

Of course! I forgot who you were writing about. Too much fun in the sun yesterday. And I'm going out there again today. Two days away from the computer. Will I experience withdrawals?
  • Brendon Macaraeg

    Hi Brian,
Glad to see there's another dog rescuer out there. My wife and I got our dog from a rescue shelter here in Los Angeles and would never give him up! Also interesting to see how your publishing electronically....cheers.

    Brian,

I finally got around to ordering "A Study In Red" from Amazon. It take me awhile but I accomplish tasks eventually. My Son brings me so many books to read I can't up. I'm almost finished with both the John Hart books, then John Sandford's new book then Baldacci and I hope that's it. C J Box is coming May 31st to a bookstore nearby and I will purchase his book so I feel panicked.
I'm excited to read your book and can't wait for it to arrive. If only I could read faster. haha

    That is all
    Kenny

    Brian

I will vote today. I received the book today and it's now on my to do list.
Just returned from taking the dogs to the vet for a pedicure and anal gland express. haha
Man it smells BAD. I would like to have another dog but I plan on having knee replacement soon. One down about five years ago and now the other knee. I am ready.
    Take care
    Kenny

Say Brian you have beautiful covers. Who's doing your cover art? By the way, Tess Gerritsen has given me a great blurb for my next novel, DEAD ON. I am currently offering the book up to anyone who takes the trouble to download it. It can be reconstituted from a pdf file to a doc file to a Kindle or other reader straight from www.robertwalkerbooks.com

Hope you're having a great holiday weekend, buddy.

You have certainly been a very busy man in the last several months. Congratulations.
Wanted to let you know I am still alive. We adopted a rescue pup, Germany Shepherd female, named Hank. I'll post pictures soon.
Keep Well and enjoy your success. Am so proud of you.

Hi Brian! Hope the book tour and promotional efforts are going well!
    Best of luck!

Oh yes, I know, it's who you know and not what you know. Let me tell you, I'm stealing a deal with a film deal... my first book is about out and all I can say is we all live the dream. I've got a lot going cause I got friends. That's why all these people who are published got there way through. So I'm stepping it up, way up and going for FILM!

  • J. F. Juzwik

Brian, Thanks for the invite. I'm enjoying looking through your titles. These are right up my alley! Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, Already looked it over and ordered it this afternoon. I'm very anxious to read it, and you will hear from me when I'm done. Once I finish it, I look forward to reading more of your work. Like I said, right up my alley. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

If there's something I know I want to read, I make sure I get my hands on it. I'm an obsessive reader - usually have two or three books going at the same time, and I really can keep them straight too. I just found out a little while ago that my book shipped, so I'll have it sooner than I originally anticipated; probably before the end of this week, so that's fantastic! Talk soon, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Brian, I received A Study in Red on Friday late afternoon and finished it in the afternoon on Saturday. Oh my goodness. I hardly know where to begin. It is an amazing story you've written, and your research shows. What did you do - find a time machine, go back, watch and take notes? There is no way I saw the end coming (if it really was the end that is). I cannot say enough good things about it except to say that I most definitely want to read your sequel the SECOND it comes out and your other work as well. I wish you tremendous success with this and all your writing and I'm adding this book to my favorites' list on all my sites. Thanks for a completely different perspective on this subject. Superior job. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, You're very welcome. By the way, posting a review on Amazon was already on my mind. If I really enjoy a book, I look for places to post comments where all can see. It's important to get the word out, and yes, people do read those customer reviews. I personally put more stock in them than in professional reviewers' comments. I'll write it up nicely and post it on there and it will show up as J F. More than happy to do it. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Brian, FYI, I put my review out on Amazon for A Study in Red yesterday. You already have terrific reviews out there and they are all well deserved. This would make a great film and I would be very interested in seeing it. I've seen a couple of movies about Jack, and one that dealt with a copycat, sort of, and they were okay, I guess, but very distant. By that I mean that even though they were movies, you know, with characters and acting and emotions and all, they were still quite flat. I didn't feel anything while I was watching them. I didn't feel any fear or curiosity or anything. I believe a movie, just like a book, has to make you feel something - cause some type of reaction. Hopefully, they will do your book justice because this book certainly does stay in your head and make you wonder about so many things. Can you keep us updated on the status of the film? Thanks. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, Glad you found the review and were happy enough with it to put it on here. It's a wonderful book and everyone should know that. I did include it as one of my faves on all my writing sites - hopefully, somebody looks at that part of my profile!

So, you write poetry as well? Very interesting. I do as well, but I don't have quite enough for a collection. I'm going to have to look into this poetry of yours. Now, I am super curious... Joyce
  • I. J. Parker

Thanks, Brian, and congrats on your success. May it continue.
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, I've got several projects in the works right now, but I've already got some ideas for your anthology story. I'm going to give it a try. I don't know if you've been in Booktown recently, but I sent you a message over there. I had a question about Mythica. Don't mean to bother you with it, but because of a publisher I had in the past, the question came up in my mind. No rush or anything though; just some basic info I need. Thanks, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

How in the world does he do that? I printed it by enlarging it to 200% and there is such incredible detail and so many colors. It's perfect for the subject matter. It looks eerie, like it's right out of the twilight zone.
  • J. F. Juzwik

I've already subscribed to the newsletter and to the quote. That newsletter sounds like it's going to be terrific. I've also submitted a novel (kind of a children's thing). It is very mild horror, but not really scary. It explores being different, but still being able to find a place to belong and others who are also different to belong with. When is the first newsletter going to come out?
  • J. F. Juzwik

I do too, but if he doesn't feel it's something he'd like to publish, I'll just try to find another home for it. I should be completing one of my crime fiction novels soon, and when that's done, I plan to submit that to Mythica too. You never know until you try. Looking forward to the newsletter. You have a great weekend too. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

My submission is entitled Choices and my name on the cover, of course, was Joyce Juzwik. I write as J. F. Juzwik. I formatted it according to the guidelines for a novel that I got from the site. That was SO helpful. It's a bit over 50,000 words. I received an email acknowledgment of the submission too, which I appreciated. That way, I know he received it. It is a story about a group of 'creatures' who do not quite fit in with their peers. One discovers a map and ends up following it and meeting the others along the way, and they all make the journey together, hoping to find a better life. It was a lot of fun to write and I think it's a fun read too, besides illustrating the fact that no matter how different someone might be, that doesn't mean they have to be an outcast. They, too, can find friends who accept them for who they are.

I noticed the newsletter mentioned flash fiction. I have one pending for Every Day Fiction, and I loved writing it. I also have a short pending with Crooked. It's been accepted, but it is just awaiting its turn. I'm really happy about it being accepted. That story turned out way cooler than I had originally anticipated. I'll post a blog here when it appears on Crooked. I would really enjoy writing some flash or a short story for Mythica's newsletter, if that would be possible. I can write crime fiction, suspense, or horror, and I love experimenting with different forms. Just let me know. That would be super. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, I can't thank you enough. Just having it considered is a tremendously great opportunity. If he does decide to use it, I'm sure it may need some work, but that's fine. I'm more than willing to put in the time to polish it.

Thanks for letting me know about submitting for the newsletter. I'm sending him a story tonight, A Gentleman Caller, for consideration. It is most definitely not a children's story, but I'm operating on the assumption that the target market for the newsletter is not kids. Anyway, I'm going to write an article too and send that along, either later this evening or tomorrow morning. Maybe I can come up with a flash tomorrow as well. I'm in a writing mood; can you tell? I'd like to send him just a few pieces for him to look over.

Thanks so much for everything, and by the way, I'm also working on my submission for Another Time, Another Place. It's turning out well so far. It's a lot of fun 'creating' a future setting. Fantastic idea for a collection.

    Have a super week, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi Brian, Just ordered Dracula... Should arrive by April 9th. Can't wait! Hope you're having a terrific week. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

I'm very anxious to get into it. I'm going to watch for more of yours to go paperback too.

FYI: My 8 year old grandson and I had a discussion about your book tonight (A Study in Red) and Jack the Ripper in general (he's extremely sharp; I homeschool him and he's into some high school stuff at this point), but anyway, he's thinks your take on it is terrific. He writes crime stories too. I'm so proud.

It's not ready yet, but just one quick question. For the anthology entry, do you have to have a .doc file? My word program is acting nuts and I'm going to have to buy another. I might be able to do so before the deadline, but in case not, could I send an .rtf document?

    Have a great evening. Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi, Brian, I got Dracula Doesn't Live Here Anymore today and of course, I read it. Had to write a review on Amazon too. That is a terrific story. Short piece, but so much story. Loved it. Please keep me updated on when your others go to paperback. Hope you're having a great week. Getting ready for my grandson's 9th birthday. Hard to believe he's going to be nine and me still being so young... Later, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

I'm going to be ordering your trilogy in a couple of days. Those stories, of course, are right up my alley. I know I'm going to enjoy them. Still hard at work on my entry for your anthology though. Love that 'future' setting thing. Later, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

Left you a message on Booktown as well. I happened to be in there when I got an email about the voting. Immediately went to cast my ballot. I love that trailer.
  • J. F. Juzwik

It would be worth buying the book just for the cover, but I am certain the story behind it might be worth a look too (lol). Seriously though, the first one was great and when it ended, it was like 'what--no--you can't stop there.' I'm very glad there's more coming and I'm anxious to see where this one will take me.

Oh, and I've been awaiting receipt of your trilogy and angry because I haven't received it; only to discover I forgot to order it. I got distracted somewhere along the line (that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it). Perhaps if I actually order it, I might actually receive it, so I'm taking care of that today. I've got my grandson reminding me in the case of another lapse, so it will get done this time!
  • J. F. Juzwik

Hi, This has been a horrendous week. I shouldn't say horrendous because nothing horrible happened, but it has just been SO crazy. I've been a bit under the weather, but nothing serious and getting better every day. First of all, yes the book has really been ordered this time and I am just waiting for it. Then, I want Kiss of Life, but then, you knew that already! I do want the cover, but I promise, I'll read it too! Now there is a 'journey into the mind of a serial killer'? Oh Yeah! Another MUST HAVE!

Also, before I forget, I should be getting the anthology entry to you by early next week. Between all the commotion here and my feeling a bit puny, I'm kind of behind on everything, but I'm picking up the pace little by little. I want to get it to you way before the deadline. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I'll give it a shot just the same. If nothing else, it's been a lot of fun to write.

Now, it's time for some hot tea and put the feet up for awhile. Later, Joyce
  • J. F. Juzwik

That's a great surprise for you, Brian, and a great surprise for me as well. You know I HAVE TO HAVE that book too!
