Wow! You were at Normandy! I am an American who resides in the UK (marriage) and I've been to Normandy a few times. The most recent time I saw a pillpox wedged in the hills there and I felt so moved. I was able to close my eyes and see and hear how it must have been. So moving! My Dad was in the War but in the Pacific.
