Profile Information

Hometown:
Kingsport, Tennessee
About Me:
I enjoy meeting new people - learning new things & spending time with family & friends! Pancakes at 3am, french fries for breakfast, dropping everything & taking off to the Smokies for a few hours - disco nite with my daughter..(seeing her hamming it up & jammin to those old disco tunes...well, it's awesome!) I'm honest, true-blue & old school - raised by my grandparents - I believe strongly in what my youngin' refers to as the "old ways" - for example: I say what i mean, mean what I say - & I walk the talk. If that's old school...well count me in!
I love books! I can't imagine my life without 'em. My Mother shared her love of reading with me when I was very young...for which I am so very thankful!

News & Thank You's

Hello friends and fellow crime/suspense lovers!

It's been far too long since I've been in the neighborhood-- so long I feel more like a newbie, than an old foggie. :)

I have missed hanging out in this thriving community, reading lots of great books and meeting wonderful people. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things... Slowly but surely things are…

RJ --

Great looking page. If that's really your room with those wonderful bookcases, I have a serious case of envy in development.

Glad you enjoyed POWER PLAY, RJ! Thanks for the kind words, and as for a movie deal ... well, if everyone goes on strike, no one will be making any movie deals for a while...

Not sure what you mean by "Dexter books," unless you're referring to novelizations from the TV series. Wasn't aware they were doing that. Anyway, nice to meet you.

Hi, thanks for inviting me. I only wish I had something for you to review! It would help if I could stop reading long enough to write something! Your dog pictures are adorable.

Hi RJ,

Thanks for the invitation. It's always seemed to me (without getting too heavy) that reviewing confirms that the whole business of reading is a collaboration between reader and writer. Both bring something to the fiction, both create the characters and settings. Uhoh - getting heavy. Better stop and eat some chocolate.

RJ, Thank you for contacting me. I like your profile, and choice of books and shows. I too enjoy true crime, which is why I write faction (Thank God for Truman Capote!). I was inspired to write my very Aussie unresolved murder story of 1935 because at the time the crime was reported as being "so professional, it must have been done by an American mobster." Now you Americans can keep your Al Capones and Bugsy Malones, (who were pussycats compared to our Razorgangs). You can even take our Ugg boots, (and our Vegemite), but we'll keep our own high profile killers thankyou. What would our history books be without them?

Hi! I would have agree with the others and say it is a very nice-looking puppy.
I keep a large amount of goldfish in a 160 litre pond in our front yard. I have had them for years now and they are beginning to eat me out of house and home.
