A retired Communication professor who now writes and publishes cozy mysteries. My first book, "Sounds of Murder" follows amateur sleuth Pamela Barnes, an acoustics expert, as she uses her knowledge of sound to solve the murder of one of her colleagues who was strangled in a college computer lab.
Hi Patricia,
Thanks so much for buying my book! As for advice, I suggest you join Sisters in Crime (http://www.sistersincrime.org/) and their online Guppies group. Guppies stands for the "Great Unpublished" though they let a lot of their published alums like me stay in. It's a wonderfully supportive group for those who are trying to get published in the mystery genre, with critique subgroups, the AgentQuest subgroup for those who are looking for agents, and so on. A fellow Guppy is who got me connected with my first agent.
