About Me:
I'm a writer and editor based in Melbourne, Australia. My first novel, To All Appearance, Dead - a murder mystery set at a conference for collectors of vintage girls' school stories - was published by Bettany Press in the UK in 2007. In 2004, I won the Scarlet Stiletto Award for the best short crime story written by a woman resident in Australia. The story appears in the anthology, Scarlet Stiletto: The First Cut. I was runner-up in the Scarlet Stiletto Award in 2007 and still hope to win that elusive second shoe one day!

I have also contributed to the true-crime anthologies Meaner Than Fiction, Outside the Law 2 and Outside the Law 3.

I've always been an avid reader and crime has always been my favourite genre. Crime shows are also the only thing I watch on the telly these days!

Just to say I got your book this morning and managed to read it all on a long train journey today.
I think the title was inspired - but then I've been an avid Chalet collector since the age of 8. I also relished the quotes at the start of each chapter - al seemed to perfectly set off the chapter that followed. I liked all the references to the way Sally and co used the net to aid them in their crime solving - it made the book seem very real and current. Hope you're enjoying your time in the UK

Oh, Ruth Rendell . . .

I adore her spare style and marvelous storytelling.

Hi Liz, thanks for visiting my page! "To All Appearance, Dead" sounds great--will we be able to order it online? I always thought conferences would be a great setting for a murder mystery--all the egos, competing agendas and running feuds under one roof, lol!

Hey Liz, thanks for the comment. I'm currently writing on a police procedural called "Interrogaton Room" - I think there may be an Australian edition thereof, it being a Fremantle franchise and all. As for you having seen something of mine - highly unlikely. Our SA TV doesn't travel particularly well, owing to various factors such as poor production values and the eleven official languages we're mandated to incorporate in various percentages in the scripts. (You should see our road signs - they're like billboards!)
