About Me:: I HAVE JUST WRITTEN MY FIRST CRIME FICTION BOOK, "PRIME CUT" WHICH IS PUBLISHED BY FREMANTLE PRESS. IT WAS SHORTLISTED IN 2010 FOR THE CRIME WRITERS ASSOCIATION DEBUT DAGGER AWARDS (UNDER THE PREVIOUS TITLE OF "CHINESE WHISPERS"). Set in Hopetoun on the south coast of WA during the last mining boom PRIME CUT is a police thriller about a disgraced detective, “Cato” Kwong called to investigate a headless torso washed up on the beach. He faces powerful opposition when his investigation lifts the lid on the unscrupulous exploitation of migrant workers. Cato also crosses the path of a brutal serial murderer who began his career 35 years earlier on the other side of the world. Determined to redeem himself for his involvement in helping to jail an innocent man for murder, Cato stubbornly refuses to give up on his search for the truth, putting his colleagues and himself in mortal danger.
