A great place to start would be with "Don't Ask" by Donald E. Westlake. It is part of his Dortmunder series of novels. And of course Carl Hiaasen is a master of this genre too. A couple of my particular favorites by him are "Nature Girl", "Skinny Dip" and "Lucky You". Okay, that's one more than a couple.

If you have an ereader and $0.89 you don't care much about, my own "Boomerang" is a bit of P.G. Wodehouse meets John LeCarre.
