I'm a former classical musician turned radio announcer, who also worked for the Discovery Channel for over a decade. Now a full-time freelance writer, I've penned radio and television scripts, articles for various publications and won awards for her over two dozen published stories and poems. When time permits, the hubster and I enjoy flying over Northern Virginia and the Chesapeake in a little putt-putt plane. Visit me via my web site, bvlawson.com. No ticket required.
Books like "Cry the Beloved Country" by Alan Paton to Jane Austen to Shakespeare to Michael Connelly, and everything in-between. I'm a bit of a book omnivore.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
I prefer character-driven movies like "Gosford Park" and "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" over SFX-driven films, although I enjoy a good sci-fi flick. Love classic black-and-white noir like "Third Man." I'm also a fan of TV science documentaries.
Today Geoffrey Girard takes "Author R&R" on In Reference to Murder, talking about researching serial killers for his new techno-thriller, Cain's Blood.

Thank you BV for the nice welcome.
This site looks like it could be a lot of fun...er, I mean 'writing help.' Yea, that's it.

Thanks for the extended hand of friendship. So many books, so little time. I think I'll like it here.
