Books And Authors I Like:
Conan Doyle, classic pulp noir - Hammmett, Chandler, etc. - NOT Agatha Christie or any of that stylized Cluedo nonsense. Early James Ellroy when he still wrote conventional prose that you actually read like a normal novel. Anything else that seems interesting, as opposed to series that run forever - can anyone really write 20 or more full-length novels about the same guy doing the same thing?
