My first book, a thriller drawn from my experience in the high-risk oil and gasoline business, is 13 DAYS: THE PYTHAGORAS CONSPIRACY. Euro-Review: "Author L A. Starks delivers an unstoppable thriller that put this reviewer in mind of bestselling novels of this genre over the last several decades."
I'm writing a second thriller that blends the global high-stakes oil business with its century-old Oklahoma roots and the rich Cherokee culture.
And check out my two Amazon Shorts. 1) Even a perfect wingsuit flight among the clouds couldn't save (13 DAYS antagonist) Robert Guillard from himself. 2) A suspenseful story is set the crucible that was San Francisco during the Vietnam War and provides backstory for my novel-in-progress.

Hi L. A.
Thank you for the welcome, have now read the trilogy and am looking forward to when (sometime in the future) I can find the time to read all three again back to back as a continuous narrative.Wonder if the putative draft of the fouth novel will ever materialise?
I wish that were true. The algebra monster will be present for the next 8 weeks. If I don't finish up in that time then I fail the course. I passed the first 8 weeks with an 86 on my final, so there's hope. I just wish I could bring myself to like it. lol Now, if Algebra were a murder mystery, I would have been finished weeks ago. :)
Hope you're well, and doing something you really enjoy. I'll be glad when I'm able to get back to reading. I had to stop in the middle of the Outlander sequel (I forgot the number), and I'd like to finish it before I forget what it was all about and have to start over. :)
I did my OB expedition in the Florida Keys, sailing. No teenagers, just adults. A life altering experience, to say the least. No monstrous mosquitoes but shark and barracuda instead! Never a dull moment.
Thanks so much for the welcome. I look forward to spending a ton of time here on CrimeSpace. And Boston is forever in one's blood. I have circled the globe a few times over, but always end up back here.
Thank you for that nice comment. I never thought I'd have to work another algebra problem in my life and I'm really feeling too old for this. lol. I'm looking forward to getting this over with so I can start reading again. It feels like it has been ages since I've picked up a book that doesn't have numbers and little x's in it. lol.
