- In terms of crime books, I've been most closely drawn to the novels of Robert B Parker. (I don't necessarily think they're the finest ever done, and I don't know any of the new breed, but I do think some of the earlier ones are impressive novels.) Other than that I enjoy female PIs - Muller, Paretsky, McDermid.
