Jennifer Thomson's Discussions

Am I mad to be thinking of ripping it up and starting again?

I had a Eureka moment with my in progress crime novel Vile City today. I looked at the novels that are out there and thought that if I wanted to get it published that I needed a new angle. One that…Continue

About Me:
I'm working on my first crime novel Vile City, which won the Scottish Association of Writers' Pitlochry Quaich award in March 2011.

My first novel, How Kirsty Gets Her Kicks, will be published by Pulp Press in March 2012 and I'm so excited. It's a revenge thriller and I loved writing it. I really believe in this imprint because it's books put entertainment first. I like to write about strong women and hate it when they are used as mere window dressing or victims. Kirsty is a gutsy heroine women will love.

Anyone can fit inside a pop our cake. Most of these cakes aren't cakes after all. They may have frosting on the outside, but the rest is usually cardboard. This is a bit disappointing when you want your character to eat their way out of the cake.

Hi Jennifer,

Love the pictures.  Very noir.

I'm the European editor for Noir Nation, and I would love to get some more stories from the UK for Issue 2  (Issue 1 will be available Sept 1, 2011).  Looking for short stories and graphic stories (comics).  Maybe you have some, and could also help spread the word?  We start reading for issue 2 on Oct 1.

Thank you,

Alan
