Wow, tough one. Don't recall that scenario off-hand. Must be before my time. But I'll roust my predecessor, Lindor Reynolds, from her eggnog stupour and see if she recalls this one. And yes, try to get your hands on Lamothe's The Finger's Twist. It's almost sold out across the land, but I think McNally at Grant Park still has a few copies. And, if you can, look for his first novel, The Last Thief. Depending on your mood, it may be even better.
