- Books have been my first love ever since my Dad read to me as a little girl. When I was about 7 or 8 yrs old, he introduced me to the library. My reading habits were threatening to bankrupt my family! :) When I'm not deep into a good mystery or fiction, you'll find me either blogging or attempting to do something creative like photography, digital collage and scrap booking as well as paper arts. I have been married for a long time and have a grown son who is now married. Someday we hope to be grandparents! We have three cats: Kinsey, Spenser, and Hamish. Mystery lovers take note: they are all detectives. Kinsey from Sue Grafton's books, Spenser, of course, is the character Robert Parker made famous. Hamish is the Scot police constable made famous by MC Beaton.

- I love classic American lit of the post WWI period: Fitzgerald, Hemingway, John Dos Passos. Edith Wharton is another writer I enjoy tremendously. I discovered Sara Gruen last year and plan to read more. Robert Russo and John Irving are also writers who I enjoy tremendously. I follow a bunch of different mystery writers: Laura Lippman, James Lee Burke, Sujata Massey, Reginal Hill, Peter Robinson, Ian Rankin, Stuart MacBride, Cara Black, Carola Dunn, Elizabeth George, Margaret Maron Donna Leon, Susan Wittig-Albert and so many more. I recently read mysteries taking place at Christmas by Sarah Graves, Ann Purser and Jill McGown. I plan to read more by these authors. I also discovered an author names Sarah Stewart Taylor who wrote a book called "O Artful Death." Every Christmas I get a batch of mysteries that take place during Christmas. This was one of them. I plan to follow her also.
- Movies And TV Shows I Like:
- Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, What Not To Wear, Clean House, Life (a real winner!), Keith Obermann on MSNBC, The Simpsons as well as any good Brit crime shows on PBS. I belong to Netflix and we've been watching the Detective Frost series featuring Jack Frost. Last year my husband got me the complete Homicide series. I'm working my way slowly through them. As for movies, I love old movies from the 30's and 50's. Alfred Hitchcock is one of my favorites. He has some great stuff he did when he was still in Britain. One of my favorite cable channels TCM - Turner Classic Movies. Favorite movies just to name a few: Casablanca, The Godfather series, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, pretty much anything by Hitchcock, Sunset Blvd, Roger Rabbit, Annie Hall - in fact pretty much anything by Woody Allen. Loved his murder mystery from two years ago! Mash, anything featuring Fred and Ginger, just to name a few.
