After Culloden, my part of the family fled to America, where an 18 year old Thomas Love McKinnon of Alexandria Virginia dropped his infant son off at an orphange. I am a bastard Scott, and as near we can trace, Thomas was from Paisley, near Glasgow. I've been there several times, and the Lafroig (Heather Ale) from Brewmaster Bruce's brewery outside of Glasgow keeps me coming back for more. When I am there, and here in the USA too, I wear my McKinnon tartan kilt, but am thinking of getting a Furquarlson one too, since my mom is a Christie of Furquarlson.
