About Me:
I'm a retired travel agent who still loves to travel. My finished novel is the first in The Travel Agent Mysteries. I'm the Docket Editor for the National Sisters In Crime newsletter, In SinC. My book, Downsized To Death, is presently looking for an agent, and is woman's fiction suspense, a bit of hen lit, and mystery. It's about how the lowest rung on the management ladder (a branch manager for a national company) fights to save her job, her office from closurer in the face of downsizing and lay-off and then murder.

New Year, New something

Been a while since I posted. What happened to all the vampires on TV? I took a look at my profile noticed that the two vamps series I liked have been cancelled. So, are they on their way out? In a rejection letter to someone, Janet Reid comment that they are becoming a hard sell. Really? How can that be? I mean, how can we ever be tired of a creature we love to hate and hate to love?
Sheesh, wonder how werewolves and ghosts are doing?
Happy New Year everyone. Sure hope '09 puts the skids on a lo… Continue

Repeat, repeat

Have you noticed the number of TV shows that seem to be remakes of past shows? Moonlight looks like a dupe of an old Canadian Vampire series that had a vamp cop on the night shift with a doctor for a girlfriend who was trying to 'cure' him. Journeyman looks like another version of Quantum Leap. Reaper, a comic version of Brimstone. Patg

Thanks, Pat. I'm not sure about Indianapolis yet. Of course, if I sign a book deal between now and then, I'll have more incentive to spend the $$$. So cross your fingers for me.

Hi Pat, glad you like the photo.
My knowledge of the US legal system stems mainly from Perry Mason and LA Law, but when I spent some time working for a US lawfirm over here I did find myself recognising a lot of things I’d read about in John Grisham’s The Firm...

Should have commented earlier how much I enjoyed my first Malice this year. It was also the first time I'd ever seen one of those author go rounds. What a great way to promote. Also met many Sisters and especially Guppies. A great organization. A great con.

Patricia - I have yet made it to a Malice. Would love to, but not this time. Maybe next year.
All the best

Gosh, nothing worse than having your computer crash and try to find all those little tidbits you simply added all over the place and never backed up.
Hi all! Can't believe I found you again.
Love and kisses and a few tears.

Patricia - thanks for accepting my invite and for your kind words. My Jason Wade series is starting to get a following. I was in Seattle only last summer and will be back this July for the PNWA Summer Conference

Patricia, I hope your holidays are warm up there in Oregon. I always see your name in my copy of InSinC. I'm the Speakers Bureau Director for SinC/LA. If you are ever in our neck of the woods, come by.

Pat- I'm don't have a pub date yet from St. Martin's, but can't wait to spread the word when I do. I just had a short story out in the SinC NY antholody MURDER NY STYLE, and we had a great launch party at Sisters in Crime.

Hi Pat, The Travel Agent series sounds good to me. I'm also a big fan of Colin Cotterill's - and a good friend as well so I'm glad to see you list him (he's on Crimespace as well.) I also write books set in Asia. I was a journalist in Asia for 11 years. My latest is mostly set in Cambodia and I'm having an event for it at Murder By the Book in Portland, next Tuesday - Nov. 13 - at 6pm, complete with a slide show about Cambodia and some great 1960s-'70s Cambodian pop music.
