I write stories about fucked-up people doing fucked-up things in a fucked-up world, addicts and all the other lost dogs noir was made for. If I've done my job, you'll see that, had fate tweaked a little, it could have been you.
I spent years in the mix with the down crowd, chasing the sack and doing the things that the thieves and hos do, till I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and got out.

I just saw your comment (it had been a while I hadn't checked my Crimespace page). I'm sure gonna go see your page... but I won't publish anything for the moment, since I'm leaving Moisson rouge (Red Harvest, Cosecha Roja) to go to el otro lado del mundo, in Argentina! Still, I can send the address to my the people of MR-RH-CJ.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Lupica.
I don't have any shorter stuff in the public arena. I wrote several short stories over thirty years ago, but they're in a closet somewhere, never published, though I won a contest or two, locally, and have had a comic play produced regionally.

I'm the dumbest guy in the world with these computers. My daughter has to do it all for me, when she has time.
My new web site is up, www.PVT-EYE.net, but with only the background ready, more to come in the next few weeks. Check back and I'll have a chapter or two up or reading in the near future.

Yeah, I figured it was professional editing. You can always tell.
I had my novel, Foul Shot, up on my page here for free reading for about a year or so, but I just landed a contract with a small, new publisher who ask that I take it down, naturally. It'll be my first published book, though I've completed a couple, at least, and still write on. Won't know my pub date for a week or so, but it'll be 2010, thinking maybe the spring. It's a contemporary murder mystery set down here in North Carolina, at the beach area, and involves my protag, Wray Larrick, a series P.I., working the killing of a world famous female superstar basketball player. But not a sports story.

Found it. Should have seen it the first time.
Your writing is professional, no question. And you draw the scenes well in your narrative. I can see the shadows, the grays and blacks, the colors. F. Scott Fitzgerald also did this very well...Somebody did a very good job of line editing, too...The subject matter was depressing as hell, something I would not ordinarily read, but the writing was good enough to keep me going...All you need to do now is make something novel length.

Rob, I've tried the Noir site and can't find the stories. Am I doing something wrong? I find Paul Brazille's there.

I will check them out and get back with you.

Welcome, Robert,
Well, you've got the material. Now all you have to do is put it together.
