Australian Sisters in Crime "Scarlet Stiletto" Awards

I keep feeling so far out of my depth with a full on novel - where do I start, how do I go about it? I tried the whole character thing and got so bogged down, then felt constrained by what I'd decided for them. Here's hoping you're right and 08 is our year to get going!

But, as February is usually a quiet month I will launch back into it, with gusto. By the way, that 'spinning the wheels' analogy of Sue Grafton's that you told me about at the Scarlet Stiletto night has really stuck in my mind, so I am at present building characters for my first novel. Let's both make '08 our year!
