I'm a transplanted Manhattanite who resides in the U.K. (marriage).
I've been seriously writing for over ten years.
I was selected by Northwest Playwrights here in England for further development--I wrote like mad, but soon realized I would not in all likelihood be the next Harold Pinter. Besides, I prefer novel writing.,
I am published by Mythica Publishing Company.
My sci fi story will appear in their sci fi anthology MAYBE TOMORROW.
My speculative fiction short story will be appearing in their
TEARS FOR THE VOID magazine.
Currently I am writing a dark-themed sci fi novel, the first in a series of three.
ONE MORE THING--I MAY WRITE PARANORMAL STUFF, BUT I STILL ENJOY A DARN GOOD CRIME STORY!
Crime --
Patricia Highsmith, Ruth Rendell psychological thrillers, as well as old noir favs such as Chandler, Caine and some Spillane.
AND A NEW FAVORITE: Thomas (Tom) Cooke's MEMOIRS OF BEAR--echoes the best of the golden age! Loved it!
Lately I have plunged back into reading a lot of horror as I have turned back to writing it.
Susan Hill's The Woman in Black a favorite
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Scarface (both versions), Goodfellas, New York, New York, The Godfather, 16 blocks, shawshank redemption, Double Jeopardy, Flight plan, the Panic Room, Arlington Road (Huge fav) , The Green Mile (fav of favs), the Transporter films and Crank (anything with Jason Statham in it (ahem)! I also love old classic films: Farewell My Lovely (all versions), The Big Sleep, Build My Gallows High, Detective Story (1950), any and all noir films--you name it, I've seen it and loved it! Also love the French Connection, No Way to Treat a Lady, Serpico, the Onion Field, for films with song and dance: I loved the Cotton Club and Chicago. For T.v: the true Crime Channel here in the U.K. Enjoy true crime books as well--Ann Rule is a favorite.
Work published in:
My futuristic sci fi thriller story DEATHLESS will be published by Mythica Press in an anthology entitled MAYBE TOMORROW. The books are in print and e book.
Ooh! very good news.
My short sci fi story, AFTERMATH has been selected for a sci fi anthology and will be published on kindle and sold through Amazon! so happy.
it is also going to be presented as a radio drama--I'll come back with those details!
I'm flying today and without taking a plane!
thanks everyone for your support!
next up--crime in space?!
hmmm!
Still here and writing.
Latest news is my futuristic sci fi thriller story, DEATHLESS is being published in
an anthology of sci fi stories, entitled MAYBE TOMORROW, published by
Mythica Press in print and e-book.
What a stylish profile photo. Nice to hear from you in Manhattan. I miss it. Lived at 92 & West End for a number of years but had to circle back to my native San Francisco to be closer to family. Your Science Fiction work sounds interesting. Congratulations, belatedly, on landinga publisher. I appreciate your friendly welcome to Crimespace. Cheers from SF to NYC, Alvin
Thanks for the good wishes Carole. We've got 3 heavyweight agents asking for the full ms now, and with any luck today they'll get it shipped out to them tomorrow. Stay tuned ...
Thanks for the hello and the compliments Carole. Sorry it took a while to get back to you. The layout here is fantastic! What an eye for noir you have.

Good to hear from you again. If that's where you've most comfortable, then that's probably where you should be and where you're likely to succeed.
