Thanks, Cammy. The internet does tend to be one vast echo chamber at times, transmitting the same misinformation so often that it appears to be gospel. It's hardly unique to writing and publishing, of course -- just look at politics!

To my surprise! you are a member of crime space! I left a comment on your   E-book.

I read you profile and have some advise! your book was less than a hundred pages. you seem to apologize for that. I found your book had  parts that contained smoke, and where there is smoke there is fire.

don't listen to all the outside voices, yes its less than a hundred pages, but remember many of the greatest twentieth century writers had  their biggest success with books  of similar sizes.Hemmingway's the old man and the sea was less than ninety pages. hollywood in their infinite wisdom made it into a five hour movie, cut it to four and a half hours for it's premier. at Graumans Chinese theater in hollywood in the early sixties. I was in the audience that night.

Arthur millers death of a salesman was less than 130 pages and there are hundreds more.I'm a male and your book is mainly for woman, but i'm almost eighty so i can look at it without my Testestorone Levels affecting me. good luck and write some more. My first book was a chore. it's not as easy as it looks to write 300 pages, but keep at it Cammy! best of luck.

you audience is waiting.

Hi Cammy, thanks for the friend request. I've been to a couple of SCWC's, so we may have met there. Regarding BookDaily, the ad's don't really pay off. I usually see 2 or 3 sales around the time the monthly ezine article runs, and you can see exactly how many reads the site generates for your book per day - it's not enough to pay for the ad. Don't recommend it.

You wrote to me "Good luck on your badass stuff," then I see the title and cover art for YOUR book, and, Dude! You're the badass here! I just bought a copy of "Considerations..." and will be reading it forthwith (a nice King James word for the P.K.) ;-)

Alas, my only Dixie cups left are all fittied with wire and still, hopefully, that wire is connected to those one and a half friends I think I may have - their Dixie cups. Like, prehistoric telephones...like Godzilla in drag and refusing to pay his bar bill, like "Yellow Brick Roads" leading only further into darkness and uncertain non-affair.

Hi Cammy,

Thanks for sending me a friend request here! I don't really hang out on the Writers Digest forums, but I do have an on-line presence in other places, so maybe we ran across each other somewhere else.

My First"Solo" Book Published Today!

This is sooooooooooooooo coooooooooooool!

(Although a little anticlimactic and kind of post-partum tristesse, but that'll pass)

It's not really a crime book...although it addresses solutions that are regrettable still considered crimes in many countries.

I've been chipping away at publication in books, but this time it's MY book.  With MY name on the COVER.  Hear me…
