There is always good stuff at Rara ... to nearly everyone's credit everyone avoided a knock-em-down and drag-em-out about the definition of noir recently. Make sure you post me when the collection of short stories comes out.

You are mind kind of fun-loving writer! I'm also a James M. Cain fan. Good to meet you.

Hi, Vicki. I read 'Miami Purity' recently and it has given me a whole new respect for dry cleaning. and since I live in Miami, I have since travelled the city from store to store and, sadly, have found no attendants of the caliber represented in your book. And since I have quit working, I rarely wear dress shirts or even ones with collars, I get the strangest reactions when I ask for extra starch in my tee shirts. But I developed my problem with distinguishing reality as a mode of survival I was a teacher for twenty years. And now I'm too old to go back to stripping which I realize at long last was a far greater contribution to society. Seriously, though, I liked the book. The Best, Len.

Hi, Meredith,
Yes, I'll be at Sleuthfest. I believe I'm on a panel on Fri at 4:15. I'm disappointed though because I thought Miami Purity would be available by then and it won't be until May. I'll only have Cruel Poetry at that point.
This must mean you're going then. See you there!
