Young up and coming author (just wait). Completely over-educated and have finally decided to pursue writing since I first picked up a pen to write stories at age 9. I have also rediscovered my love of reading through crime and thriller fiction after torturing myself with literary classics.
Humor is great, as long as the writing is good. quality of writing and depth of character is our main concern. Sometimes the funnier a piece is the darker it is, so that's good. There are some submission guidelines on the Noir Nation website is now up http://noirnation.com. Would love to have a comment from you! A
I'm one of the editors for Noir Nation, and I would love to get some stories from Australia for Issue 2 (Issue 1 will be available Sept 1, 2011). Looking for short stories and graphic stories (comics). Maybe you have some, and could also help spread the word to other writers and readers there? We start reading for issue 2 on Oct 1.
Cool. Les Paul's/SG's are my favorites. I like PRS smith for different tones. But I can't say I've ever played a 7 string V. Good luck with the guitar building.
Welcome! I just wanted to introduce myself, and my blog, The Book Buff: Book Reviews for Regular People. Check it out at http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.com
It can be a bit overwhelming around here at first, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
