Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Anything involving martial arts! Kung fu, ninjas, karateka, shaolin monks and all that. I went through that phase as a kid that most boys go through where I was addicted to martial arts action flicks...and never grew out of it. I also like a good old noir flick or spy film. Good spy films are getting harder to find. Documentaries. Foreign films.

Just saying Hi and wishing you luck with your writing. Not sure what to say about the golf problem. I have "golfer's elbow," and I've never played.

Dylan, from what I can tell through web surfing there's a lot in common between Wing Chun and what we've been learning. We do a lot of close fighting where we try to have a simultaenous block+strike. A lot of minimal movement also. We also do a lot of energy redirecting--directing energy away from the attack and back to the attacker.

Let me know how it goes at Murder by the Book. While Small Crimes won't be released in the US until the fall, I think bookstores can order it directly from Serpent's Tail. I'm curious.

Hey William, glad to see you joined Crimespace. Congrats also on your black belt! I'm not sure on the lineage of my school--pretty much ignorant on the history of this stuff--but the school centers on the southern style animal forms, northern style long fist, then for second degree black belt training and up, more internal forms (tai chi, budha palms, bagwa). What's the focus of your school?

If done all your gigs other than Black Belt. No license required to tend bar in MD. So I'm with you there, but I may challenge you for the title of World's Worst Golfer.

I agree. MBB is quite a resource for all of us who are readers, and for authors as well.

You might enjoy the fact that 13 DAYS is set in Houston. It's at Murder by the Book and a few other Houston-area bookstores.
