Negative reviews are sexy. With the right silver tongue devil they can even be entertaining to read—but moreover to write. They also are assets for a reviewer, or critic building a reputation and audience—as well as (in some cases) satisfying thei...
I overheard a couple of kids talking the other day--that's right, to each other in person--and one said Twitter was so yesterday. There's something new out there called Tag. ???? I have no idea, so don't ask.

Hey now, Ingrid. ... Maybe this should go off list, but I hope you're well. How go the historical mysteries?

PS: It looks like MWF is making something of a comeback. Comparatively.
Hi Gus, and everyone else,
As Dana said, I think it was him, the best advice is know yourself as a writer. Estimate your strengths and weaknesses with the craft, or a particular project on as well. Have goals for that work, and see if it matches ...
1) Permit myself to write something really crappy. Or stupid—like my short story The Turkey Carol. (3 ghostly turkeys visit a man on Thanksgiving eve in hopes of giving him a life lesson.)
2) Shoot for excellence, not perfection.

I've updated the Mysterious Writ site. The Book Publishers, Conferences, and Magazine sections. There's more to do, but it's a good start to a big project.

Hello Charles
Just introducing myself and getting to know people. I'm also taking an informal survey of CrimeSpace participants, and you're the first: Do write full-time or do you have an outside job?
Hi Charles, I heard you write historical mystery. I'm attacking my first, or about to. What time period are you writing? I see your website--I will have to go explore. Welcome to Crimespace!
Thanks Scott. This is a pretty cool setup. ... Can't wait until we're all holograms sitting in a virtual livingroom sipping cold ones. Guess that will take a few years.
