Good to know before you begin your holiday shopping

Stores that are planning to close after Christmas are still selling the cards through the holidays even though the cards will be worthless January 1. There is no law preventing them from doing this. On the contrary, it is referred to as 'Bankruptcy Planning).

Addictions

I was just sitting here thinking about addictions. And not necessarily drugs or alcohol. I myself have never tried drugs while my younger sister tried everything under the sun. To this day she smokes like a chimney while I smoked for one week at the age of thirteen and gave it up, cold turkey.

OMG...will Ike be the one? All of Florida is in the cone of, shoot, I can't recall the word the weather man used. My daughter and I just got off the phone, after going through a list of things to take care of before next Tuesday, when we should start feeling the effects of the storm. Cute little guy

I couldn't wait to post the picture of this fabulous little panda dog! Panda bears are my favorite animal in the world and this little pet would be just like owning one. Isn't he cute? He looks so soft. It's amazing how much he looks just like a panda bear.

I'm so lonesome I could cry...

Hubby's been gone all month! First he flew to Oklahoma to surprise his son on his birthday, then he flew to Kansas to stay a while with his grandson and his family. He likes it there. Tropical Storm Fay

Well, I got ready! Since hubby has been in Kansas all month I haven't been watching that much TV, especially on my days off. I enjoy the peace and quiet. I got the call!

Today, after waiting for two years, I finally got the call I've been waiting for. The phone rang, I picked it up and said hello. Then this tiny little voice said, "hi gamaw", and my heart just melted! Alivia just turned two and must be the world's smartest baby:) I know, if my daughter could hear me now she'd say I'm such a dork. I don't care! I love being a grandma, or in this case, gamaw:)
