this last Saturday, myself, Barbara Fister and Kathy Hagen(from our 4MA group) met up in Minneapolis for some serious book buying and converstation. Think those were equal projects. Kathy and I are also in the same f2f monthly mystery discussion group, and we had that meeting first, discussing James Sallis' Moth. Barb came to Minneapolis to visit her daughter, and it turned out that her daughter now lives only a couple of blocks from me. (one the better neighborhoods in Mpls, IMO). From there we went to Once Upon a Crime, and then over to the New French Bakery for the next step of chocolate and sugar. Books and sugar and excellent converstaion. Doesnt get any better than that. Kathy's partner joined us at the bookstore. Not sure how to spell her name correctly, so won't go there. Fun time for all of us. So great to meet and talk with kindred souls. Kathy is currently trying to join Crimespace, so I wil be watching her on the members line-up.

It sure is. Hope that Kathy will find a way to get on here. Think that she would have fun and she would have a lot to contribute to the forums,

Sorry I missed the fun! I might've been able to stash my boys at a movie or something and joined ya'll but didn't have enough advance warning. Next time for sure!

That was fun - and I just finished the first of the books I bought (Giles Blunts' latest - and I agree with Yvonne, the best so far).

We'll have to do it again, when my credit card recovers :o)
