THE DEAD PLACE nominated for UK Crime Novel of the Year

I'm chuffed to say that the 6th Cooper & Fry novel THE DEAD PLACE has just been nominated for the UK Crime Novel of the Year Award, sponsored by Theakston's Old Peculier.

This is the only UK award that allows readers to vote for the winner. There are 20 novels on the initial 'long list', which will be whittled down to six for the final voting. The award will be presented at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival in July.

To cast your vote, either call in at any branch of Waterstone's booksellers (if you happen to be in the UK), or vote online via the Waterstone's website:

http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/navigate.do?pPageID=1319

Anyone can vote, and it's easy to do - all you need to provide is an email address. You can also straight to the voting form by clicking here:

As an extra incentive, everyone who votes will be entered in a draw to win a weekend at the Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate.

Thank you for voting. And good luck!
