Sorry for the delay in posting. It’s been crazy busy around the House of Faust. What else is new?

Anyway, the No Crime Unpublished Conference was a blast. It started off with a bang when I got tied up and rigged into a litter (y’know, that metal thing they lay injured people in to pull them up out of ravines with a helicopter) by the Montrose Search and Rescue team. They had great equipment, including all sorts of rope and climbing gear. (drool) Of course, it was also a fun and informative lecture about search and rescue techniques, not just eye candy for perverts like me. Photos were taken, but I’m still waiting for copies.

Naomi Hirahara and I managed to pull off our setting workshop without a hitch, mostly thanks to Naomi’s level head and clever planning. Nobody threw rocks or tomatoes, so I figure we did okay.

Anyway, I’m off to huff some peroxide fumes at the beauty parlor. It’s as good an excuse as any to take a little break from the slog and catch up on some reading. At this point, I’ll take any excuse I can get. My hair has been growing pretty quickly. I don’t look quite as much like Shell Scott as I originally did, but I’ll be happier when it’s long enough to set on rollers.

Oh yeah, and we are now officially past the birthday fortnight and into the actual birthday week.

No Crime Unpublished was a lot of fun for me, too. They're a great group of people. It was great seeing you there even if we were never formally introduced.
