character developing

Dobyns, Stephen - Saratoga Strongbox - Ok- Characters almost slapstick, "Queen of Softness" annoying


DuBois, Brenden - Six Days - Ok- Female TSTL, skimmed far more than I read


Dymmoch, Michael Allen - The Feline Friendship - Ex 2003 Top Ten - Well written and suspenful, serial
rapist

Fforde, Jasper - Lost in a Good Book - Ex 2003 Top Ten - Brilliant, definitely to be savored


Gardner, Lisa - The Survivors Club - VG Fast-paced, well done. Accused rapist murdered, but
more rapes.

Hamilton, Denise - The Jasmine Trade - G+ LA Time journalist, parachute children


Harris, Charlaine - Club Dead - VG Delightful series, Snookie and her vampire boyfriend


Harris, Lee - Murder in Hell's Kitchen - VG Cold case murder investigation, but all other tenants have
left.

Harvey, John - List Rites - G+ Escaped prisoner and drug ring. Drags in spots
but catches you up

Lehane, Dennis - ShutterIsland - VG Institute for criminally insane; enthralling, haunting and
sad.

Mathes, Charles - Girl with the Phony Name, The - G Not much mystery,but enjoyable. Adopted girl trying to find past


Ormondroyd, Edward - David the and Phoenix - VG Not a mystery, but remembered since I was 8. Wonderful


Rankin, Ian - Falls, The - VG Small wooden coffins. Very well-done series


Seranella, Barbara - Unfinished Business - VG Customer murdered, another raped. Excellent series and characters


Shames, Laurence - Scavenger Reef - G+ Painter "dies." Entertaining read, interesting characters, slight moral


Thornton, Betsy - High Lonesome Road - G Heavy on backstory, good characters, not obvious killer


Todd, Charles - Fearsome DoubT, A - VG Murders of disabled veterans. Excellent series,
well-done characters

Winslow, Don - Isle of Joy - VG "Kennedy" affair, but wonderfully written. NYC in
the 50's.
