Do you like the cover art for this digital short story? I did it. I am not trying to toot my own horn here it is just that I tried to match the energy, the skill, and the quality of the author. He really stepped up to the plate on this sequel to “House of Misery” and hit a home run. Horror, suspense, and just good old time craftsmanship are in these virtual pages. Check out what is behind the flaming skull’s head on the cover:

“Trestle Press Spring Submission Contest Winner Jeffrey Martin weaves a compelling drama that is sure to bring chills to your spine. This is one mystery/suspense digital short story that has elements of grave danger and terrible horror. What is in the House of Misery and who really haunts it? Find out in Unleashed. Does this story have a happy ending? What do you think?”

Here is a little info on the author:

“Former Marine, and current physical fitness trainer. Played semi-pro football for a few years, then grew up and sort of got a REAL job. Work for the feds, and this Facebook page is hopefully going to launch my debut novel: LUCIFER'S CALLING... (I'm hoping to write full time in the future.) I will include my book details on this page, so If ANYONE is interested, you can spread the word, and support a starving author... (Okay, I'm not starving yet.) “

I have to say that Mr. Martin really has a knack for building tension in a story. I personally enjoy his ability, his narrative and the continuation of plotline, just intense and awesome. The word count is not high, but then again as a writing form, a digital short story takes on many different faces. The key here is can he deliver the goods in what span of words he chooses? And the answer in spades is yes. So for anybody that is planning on sitting back and getting comfy with a 10,000 word digital short story and you are hunkering down with whatever ereading device you have, just understand that this is a smash mouth type story that is quick, tense and in your face. The edge of whatever seat you are sitting on would be best, there will be no relaxing, the virtual pages are going to fly. The cost of the download is only a buck, well really $.99, and I would suggest that if like his style go back and read the one that started it all “House of Misery”,  and double your tension and fear enjoyment. For the cost of both, $1.98, you will get a boatload of reading enjoyment; there is nothing to be miserable about with this.

Things have changed around here. I am now the published author of “Down Low- Dead” with Vincent Zandri, “The Jersey Shore Has Eyes” with Big Daddy Abel”and the soon to be released “Who Whacked the Blogger” with Benjamin Sobieck, “G.S.I Gelati’s Scoop Investigations Psychotic Detectives” with Thomas White, “Thad and The G-Man’s Most Awesome Adventure” with Thad Brown and “Hotel Beamont” with B.R. Stateham. All the stories are available @ Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Smashwords. I am also the host of the wildly popular The G-ZONE blogtalk radio show. Thanks for stopping by today; We will see you tomorrow. Have a great day.   http://www.gelatisscoop.blogspot.com
