This was my first National Novel Writing Month attempt. Despite or maybe because of the challenges of the last month I was able to complete the 50,000 word challenge and posted 60, 261 to their official word counting site on the 18th. There's a knot between my shoulder blades that is not going to go away without professional help. My three year old yellow labrador retriever has stopped speaking to me. The dust bunnies in the house have officially declared themselves a new species and my husband has been subjected to 1,487 "What if's...."

Now the editing begins.

Congratulations! I enjoyed my NaNo time too (this was my first as well) and ended up with a little over 50,000 and am still working on finishing the story. I plan to edit mine to make it marketable. I like the story. Yes, it's WORDY, but nothing that can't be fixed. Have you considered NaNoEdMo in March? I'm going to give that a try to commit to doing some serious editing. In the meantime, I plan to work on other projects, and then by March, perhaps I can look at it with a fresh eye. Anyone considering participating in that next March?

Congratulations, Karyn!
I got bogged down way long ago on my attempt and only made it to 2,000 plus words. Two germs impeded me, one after the other, plus hosting guests on my blogs, and other intrusions. I intend to work on that book and finish it, but it will take longer than 30 days! At least I got a good start.
