What?  You have to subscribe to comment?  I read and I liked.  Especially the bullshit curve.  The process can be excruciatingly painful to the inexperienced author.  It's best to decide from the start that you write because it makes you happy and that you'll protect that happiness by not engaging in stuff that will cause anger, pain, sacrifice, loss of money, and humiliation.  Every author has to draw his own line in the sand.
