Thanks for the add. Do you remember a great Japanese flick about these people trapped in a jungle who eat deadly mushrooms. I've been looking for that movie title for years.
If this were not a crime book lover's site, I would hesitate to take you up on your invitation with a screen name of "thug...", but at present I am finishing Tim Maleeny's new novel, the second in the Cape Weather's series and figure nobody is safe anywhere now. :-)
Hi, Todd,
Kung Fu movies are enormously entertaining. Some years ago there was a New York TV station that showed a string of them every Saturday afternoon. We picked up many useful phrases ("Your Kung Foo is good" was my favorite.)
Thanks for the invite. I see you're a New Englander living in New York. So do you prefer Sox or Mets? Please say you haven't gone to the dark side and adopted the Yankees as your team.
Thanks for the invite! After reading a couple of the discussions you are a part of and looking at your page, I realize you're more than a writer, you're a wordsmith, and that's fun.You have to study your craft for art to happen. LOL.
I took 100% of the passive out of a book once and had to go put some back in for it to be comprehensible, but that was because I did more than a little manipulation of the words, rather than simply writing the story. Every day I write, or that I am around writers, I learn something new. After writing the book, there is another whole learning curve to absorb.
:-)

Were sheep - whatever next. Though, yes, they do pack a nasty bite if you get your fingers in their mouths.... Of course, they breed em funny in New Zealand, that might explain it...
Hi Todd. Not up on US sports, as others around here will testify - laugh. A movie about killer sheep, bet that was fun. I am ultra careful now, having had my finger crushed, last year, by the tup with horns. I shall be extra vigilant now...
Hi Todd, Thanks for the invite. Must say New Englander living in NY is something of a dramatic change. Extreme even. But maybe, this suits your personality. I'll also visit your thuglit site, see if that sheds more light. Cheers.
Todd, hi and thanks for inviting me to the party. I'm swamped this morn with emails (taking part in a group chat - at one time, it might have been group activities of another sort.) Back to you soon. Happy writing and reading. Victor
Thanks for the hit, in a non-violent way. Love the web site and material. Wish I could write that and submit but I wished to play second in pin stripes, that didn't happen either.
Hey Todd, we're having a wave of mystery ape sightings down here in Jax. Some traditionalists claim it's the legendary Skunk Ape, on the lam from the 'glades for some as yet unknown reason. Others point to a nest found up in a tree, with some orange primate hairs... so right away they start waving the stars and bars, whooping up an Orang-utang hunt.
Apparently one of those is roughly similar to your classic Frankenstein's Monster hunt, except you bring along a sixpack of banana liqueur and some animal control goons in a sound truck rebroadcasting the Tarzan yell and shouting Ungowa a lot. (That shit gets old fast after a late night.)
I'm monitoring the situation closely, and I hope we can count on you to kick in a few scoots for the wildlife defense fund if it comes to that.
Hi Todd, how's tricks? Fancy meeting you in a salubrious place like this ... who let a Thug like you in? I thought this place had a bit of class about it ... Good to hear from you, man ... let me know when the next ThugLit hits the electronic shelves and I'll give it a big-up on Crime Always Pays. Cheers, Dec
