I don't have any particular conferences in mind at this moment. I was going to attend the Houma, LA conference, but I had to work. The last one I attended was the Bayou Writers Group Conference in Lake Charles, LA. I was one of the guest speakers and I did a presentation called "Demystifying Murder Investigations". It was a very enjoyable experience and I learned a lot from the other speakers, especially Deborah LeBlanc. She was an AMAZING speaker! I even got my picture taken with her. :-)
BTW, if you'd like the outline from my presentation, e-mail me at bjbourg@bjbourg.com and I'll send it to you. If you receive it and have any questions regarding murder investigations, I'd be happy to try and answer them.
Well, I'd better get some work done. Take care and best of luck to you!
Just back from a week in your beautiful hometown. My wife and I had so much fun there that we actually spent a little time looking at homes. I enjoy reading about Storm's adventures and looking forward to the next book.
Not sure if you can rent Hustle from Netflix or not...I do watch it on BBC same as MI5 so may be worth looking into..the premise for it is that the main characters are all direct types of con men/woman and now they just pull off the con...not just for the money but to exact revenge...it is great.
Aloha, Deborah!
I got your message - but for some reason it's not on my page. Aieee! Mo bettah I find out why, yeah? Can't wait to see you on the Big Island for LCC! Maybe before?
Oh, I forgot to mention something--if you live in Hawaii, and are interested in joining the local Sisters in Crime chapter, let me know. You can check out Sisters in Crime (it's men, too, guys) at www.sistersincrime.org.
I'm looking forward to my third book, titled FIRE PRAYER, which will be out August, 2007. I enjoy discussing good novels with other readers and writers.

It was a pleasure to meet you at The Poisoned Pen. I hope everything will be fine when you get home, despite the hurricane.

How's The Green Room doing? I don't have a copy yet, but intend to get one soon. I enjoyed Primitive Secrets.
