Yes, it's even worse in the U.K. But the euro is getting there--about 140 today. When we first settled in Italy it was 85 cents and I keep planning (but I'm a great procrastinator) to bring the money we had in the states over so we could buy there. But then the euro keep going up and we kept waiting for it to go down, so here we are back in the states and unless I write a blockbuster, here to stay. Nice meeting you.

Hey, Carole--we sure share a lot of similiar tastes in books (Cain, Chandler, Ellroy) and movies--doesn't get much better than Double Indemnity, does it?
