Ah...Dr Mabuse! The memories Yep, I think Propaganda covered it in the mid 80s. I think Paul Morley of ZTT was a fan of Josef K. I was never a Propaganda Fan. My favourite German band of the 80s was Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. I loved Der Mussolini. Play that one in a club and I was right up on the dance floor giving it big licks, as we say in Glasgow. I also quite liked Einsturzende Neubauten. I also have a soft spot for he early songs of - Die Toten Hosen.(I loved Eisgekuhlter Bommerlunder and Hip Hop Bommi Bop - which was a punk/hip hop version (no, really!))
