Well, here I am in a new venue. This one I am pretty pleased to be on because I can cover both sides of my life. As a publisher I can schmooze you and wow you with our wonderful books. Be warned, I am all about selling books. I am pleased to say that Echelon has some fabulous books to choose from and you would be missing out on great stories if you overlook us. I mean it. This month, Echelon's featured title is "Murder Off the Books" by the DYANAMIC duo, Evelyn David. This is a must read for cozy fans and lovers of dogs. And I'm not just saying that. In fact...

Julia Spencer-Fleming, Edgar finalist and author of All Mortal Flesh says..."One howling good whodunit, and a terrific debut. MURDER OFF THE BOOKS offers a plot as twisty and fast as an Irish Wolfhound. Whiskey joins the ranks of beloved four-footed sleuths. Great fun!"

Now, on the other side, I love to read! I am currently reading "Crusader's Cross" by James Lee Burke, "Theodsia" by Richard Cote, and "Map of Bones" by James Rollins. I have been a huge fan of Burke's for years and I am rarely disappointed in his books. Now, the Cote is a stretch for me. It is the biography of Aaron Burr's only daughter and it is a heck of a good read. The book by Rollins is a new adventure for me. I've not read him, but so far I am thoroughly enjoying it.

So what are you reading?

I hope your cold doesn't last 3 weeks like mine did!
I've been enjoying TROUBLE IN HIGH HEELS by Christina Dodd about a jilted Cinderella in danger as she tries to get even with her ex-fiance.

I forgot to mention the other one I am almost finished with. I have been listening to KILLJOY by Julie Garwwod in the car and since I have been homebound with a wicked bad cold, I have been missing it...only one more disk to go before I am done, but it is pretty darn good.

Me? I'm listening to ECHO PARK by Michael Connelly. Makes these dull afternoons at work whiz by. Unfortunately my ipod is sick and is going to get shipped off tomorrow to ikaput for a new video screen. I will have to see if I can put this on CD's--not all itunes books let you. If not then I will have to wait until my baby is back. Also reading Joanne Harris's GENTLEMEN AND PLAYERS--actually reading that one. I like this one alot--first person x 2--the hero guy, and his nemesis. The signal that one or the other is speaking is a white or black chess piece. Clever.
