Hi All,
Is there a good source for quick forensic information online? You know, just something like, how long does it really take to do a DNA analysis on a body fluid?
Are the automated machines we see on the CSI-type shows for real?
That kind of stuff.
Parenthetically, kudos to Patsy Cornwell in her efforts to improve crime scene training for police officers, and to Jan Burke in her fund-raising efforts for better forensic science.

Lee Lofland's new blog, THE GRAVEYARD SHIFT, promises to be an invaluable source of information. Check him out at http://www.leelofland.com/wordpress/

Also, IN REFERENCE TO MURDER has a wealth of links at http://inreferencetomurder.typepad.com/my_weblog/

There's a lot of other stuff out there, but these two should get you started. Good hunting.
Thanks so much.
Ed,
A great collection of links to crime resources can be found at www.refdesk.com/crime.html.

I've listed some other crime resource links on my website at www.christophervalen.com
Just click on the links button on my home page.

Feel free to drop me line whenever you have a question, if you like. If I can't help you I probably know someone who can.
Got it. Thanks.
