Thanks for the invite. I've been into crime fiction for a very long time, but have just become more 'active' this year in terms of utilising my freelance writing career to also highlight crime fiction (through reviews and features). I'd previously written about sport, travel, and other interests of mine. In fact I've just started a crime fiction blog this week - http://www.kiwicrime.blogspot.com/ - so please feel free to check that out and maybe leave a comment.
Hi,
Thanks for the friends invite. I see that you listed L.E. in your About Me section. Are you an active officer? If so, which dept do you work for? Well again, thanks for the invite. Stay Safe.

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
Thanks Nancy. You like a lot of my favorite authors. I review between fifty or a hundred books a year. The majority I get when I go to Book Expo every year, but I also review books from other sources. Let me know if you come out with a book and a little about it. Good Luck. Tom Cooper
Hi Nancy, thanks for the friend request. I see we share a liking for Carl Hiassen and Raymond Chandler. I'm also a great fan of Donald Westlake, both his comic and serious sides. Are any of your friends authors of historicl mysteries? If so, I'd like to contact them.
Thanks for the friend request, Nancy. We share several favorite authors: Robert Crais, Carl Hiaasen, Val McDermid. I'll have to look into some of the other writers that you mention who are new to me.
Be well
Susan
Thanks Nancy for adding me as a friend. I applied for the police academy after taking law inforcement in college. They called me 3 years later but I was doing something else by that time.
